RealWrite is the better pick if your main job is turning an AI draft into writing that sounds like you: it gives 300 free humanizer words every day, writes in 41 languages, explains which sentences read as AI and checks that the meaning survived each rewrite. QuillBot is the better pick if you want a full writing suite: a paraphraser with nine modes, a grammar checker and add-ins for Word, browsers and desktop, with a humanizer included.
A disclosure: RealWrite is our product. We have kept to facts you can check on both sites, and we say where QuillBot is ahead. QuillBot details come from its humanizer page, its Premium page and its App Store listing, checked on 21 October 2026.

More free words. QuillBot's free humanizer stops at 100 words per run. RealWrite gives 300 humanizer words and 500 detector words every day on a free account, enough for a full cover letter or a few paragraphs of an essay.
Detector and humanizer in one loop. RealWrite's AI Detector shows which sentences read as AI and why: even sentence lengths, stock transitions, hedging. You fix those, check again and see the difference. QuillBot's detector is a separate tool.
A meaning check. After every rewrite RealWrite compares the new text with the original and flags anything that changed a number, name, quote, citation or link. For essays, reports and anything with facts in it, that is the step most humanizers skip.
More languages. RealWrite writes its output in 41 languages, against five for QuillBot's humanizer.
It goes everywhere. QuillBot works in Word, in the main browsers, on Windows and macOS, and on Android as well as iPhone. RealWrite is web and iPhone only for now.
A stronger paraphraser. QuillBot's paraphraser has nine modes and custom modes on Premium, in 23 languages. If rewording sentences in different registers is your main task, it is the more complete tool.
Unlimited humanizing on Premium. QuillBot Premium has no word limit on the humanizer. RealWrite's plans are counted in words: 30,000, 100,000 or unlimited a month.
More writing tools. QuillBot also has a grammar checker, a summarizer and a citation generator, so it covers more of the writing process than a humanizer alone.
Neither tool can promise how an AI detector will score your text, and QuillBot says the same about its own humanizer. Detectors disagree and also flag human writing, as our guide to AI detector false positives explains. For a wider view, see the best AI humanizers in 2026.
